Philodendron Melanochrysum
Philodendron Melanochrysum is one of my favorite plants! I love how it climbs, and the rich velvet leaves are irresistible.
Philodendron Melanochrysum is native to Colombia.
It does best in bright indirect light or filtered light.If possible, use a well-draining potting medium with coco coir, perlite,or orchid barke—water when the potting medium dries out. Make sure to water all around the pot and clean the leaves.
Philodendron Melanochrysum prefers medium to high humidity but will acclimate to avg household humidity. However, for optimal growth, please give it some humidity and a moss pole to climb.
Fertilize during spring through summer and fall. Use a slow-release fertilizer and/or houseplant fertilizer and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Heat packs and complete winter protection are available for purchase. They can be added to the order (filter by 'winter protection.") Heat packs should be purchased if you are experiencing cold or freezing temperatures. Please ensure that you will be available to receive your plant if you are experiencing cold temperatures. Heat packs only protect your plant in transit, not for extended periods.
